The Board of Directors has had communication regarding our current situation. It is apparent Florida is on the same curve as NY for the virus, however we are several weeks behind them. We concluded the following temporary steps are essential for the safety and health of all of us:
Beginning Friday, March 27th, 2020 at 5:00PM
No guests will be allowed entry. Only Owners and Tenants and their immediate family will be allowed entry. Any Owners coming from NYC Vicinity per the Governor’s order will need to self-quarantine for fourteen days. If you are coming from this area you should make arrangements to have food supplied to you. Per the Governors Order 20-80, Any person who violates any isolation or quarantine directed by the Department of Health commits a misdemeanor of the second degree, which is punishable by imprisonment not to exceed 60 days, a fine not to exceed $500, or both. See§ 381.00315(6), Fla. Stat.
· It is required by management to have all family members registered in the office
· All unit owners must communicate this information to renters
· Contractors are no longer permitted even for existing projects except for emergencies: Emergencies are defined as: A/C, plumbing leaks, refrigeration
· Housekeepers and cleaning services are allowed in the buildings for hardship cases
· Home healthcare workers and caretakers are allowed. Please notify the office either by email or hand written letter: your name, unit number and name of healthcare providers (firstname.lastname@example.org)
· All food deliveries are to be met in the lower parking lot.
We ask for everyone’s patience as we go thru this troubling time. Our intention is that we have no virus cases here at 45 Ocean.
Thanks for your support,

Dear 45 Ocean Condominium Owners & Tenants;
We as a Board felt that it was our responsibility to be pro-active with the global health pandemic that has the danger of affecting all of us. Our governments are playing catch up. Highland Beach just declared a state of emergency.
Our Board met Tuesday night by conference call to make policy decisions in the interest of the safety of our residents. We have reviewed a number of other condominiums and their actions to protect their residents as inputs to our decisions. These initial actions are likely to evolve as we gather new information on a daily basis. Many of the policies will be an inconvenience and we ask for your patience.
It’s important to follow CDC guidelines to keep yourselves from getting sick, and exposing others. We have enclosed information and sources for more detailed information at the end of this letter.
1-OFFICE– In effort to assist with protecting the community and staff, we are limiting one person at a time at the office. There will be no admittance into the office but you will be able to communicate with staff from the doorway. It is preferable that you email or phone the office.
2-AMENITIES– The Board has decided to close the following amenities as a precaution as of 2:00 PM on Wednesday March 18th, but our primary responsibility as residents is to do our part with limiting exposure.
THE POOLS WILL REMAIN OPEN HOWEVER GUESTS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED IN THE POOL OR BEACH AREA. Pool furniture will be limited and set at 6 feet apart. Please do not move pool furniture.
Per the CDC, there is no evidence that COVID-19 can be spread to humans through the use of pools. Proper operation, maintenance, and disinfection (e.g., with chlorine and bromine) of pools should remove or inactivate the virus that causes COVID-19.
3-STAFFING-To limit exposure starting this Saturday, we will have employees onsite seven (7) days a week to assist with cleaning of “high traffic” areas: entry doors, elevators, bathrooms, trash chute doors, laundry rooms, etc. Please allow our staff the ability to complete their tasks.
4-VENDORS, CONTRACTORS, REAL ESTATE AGENTS,DELIVERYS-To limit exposure, we are asking all residents to limit vendors for emergency purposes only (e.g., Air Conditioning, Water Heaters, Refrigerator Repairs, etc.). NO NEW CONSTRUCTION WORK WILL BE PERMITTED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. REAL ESTATE AGENTS WILL NOT BE PERMITTED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. Regular Package Deliveries (Amazon, UPS, FedEx, etc.) will still be permitted directly to our apartments. However, we require Owners and Tenants to meet Food Deliveries in the lobby or in the garage.
